Mrs. Katie Anzalone
I started my career as a teacher in 2007. I pride myself on organization and creating relationships with my students. My family and I have recently moved to the great state of Idaho in order to be closer to family and enjoy a better quality of life.
Teaching English at all levels in the high school setting has given me the opportunity to communicate with a diverse group of students. which has influenced the lessons and teaching strategies I have and continue to implement in my classroom. Not only do I communicate with students on a daily basis, but I also collaborate with teachers and administrators. I have been elected to a number of different committees, such as the Technology Integration Advisory Team (TIAT). On this team, we decided what others will complete on professional development days and implement new ways in which to collaborate within and across departments using technology.
I like to believe that I provide my students with a stimulating, challenging, and healthy learning environment that will allow them to become active in their learning experience. In order to do this, I allow my students to have open discussion among themselves and with me. I listen to their concerns with the learning process along with their constructive criticism.
I enjoy teaching so very much that I couldn’t imagine doing anything else. I love the people I get to meet and the relationships I build with them.
