Mrs. Kelly Gissel

The great thing about teaching is that I love my job. I have loved every minute of my working experience. I teach at Middleton High School as an Honors Junior, Honors Senior, and Senior English teacher. The most rewarding thing about this job is that I get to spend every day with unique and amazing young adults.

Two days after I graduated from Boise State University I secured a postition as a sixth grade language arts teacher. That first teaching position changed my life forever. I saw first hand the diverse classroom and need for humor, love, and commitment in this profession. I have worked as a teacher for over thirteen years, from middle school to all levels of high school, and have enjoyed all of it!

My teaching philosophy in its entirety is lengthy, but in short: If you love what you do, you will never work a day in your life.
