Mr. Kyle Miyauchi

Greetings!

My name is Kyle Miyauchi . I started teaching at MHS in 2016. It is a joy and a honor to be teaching and working with the hobby that I love so much. An even greater reward is that I get to share it with students each day. This is my fourth year teaching at the high school level and my fourth teaching social studies. I have also taught two years of ESL overseas in South Korea. I went to high school locally at Nampa Christian and graduated from Northwest Nazarene University in 2010 with a BA in History. At NNU I was a four-time Dean's List student and Qualls Family History Scholarship recipient. I received my M.Ed in Curriculum, Instruction, and Innovation at NNU in  2016. Most of my passion and zeal for history comes from my family history. My family immigrated from both the Netherlands and Japan and I enjoy sharing their stories with my classes. 

I enjoy continuing my education on a daily basis and see it as my goal to learn as much as I can about the subject I teach. With this philosophy I know I can always improve and give the best to my students as I learn and grow with them. I am 41 history credits and growing with daily reading and research. At the same time I am married to the wonderful Kendra Miyauchi. . We get to share the joy of parenting our daughter Quincy who was born in December of 2016 and our son Wesley, who was born in June of 2019. During my free time I am working outdoors, reading, working on home improvement projects, playing music, traveling the world, and spending time with my wife and my family.
