Calculus

We've adopted a new curriculum this year which I'm excited about.  CPM allows students more time to work in groups and collaborate and discuss mathematics.  I know as students talk about mathematical concepts, it helps them have a deeper understanding of what they are learning.  

Since students can earn concurrent credit through BSU, it's as if the students are taking college calculus.  That being said, this class is a very rigorous class which demands several hours a week for students to master the concepts.  I not only want students to learn the material, but I want to help them understand the value of hard work in over coming hard things.  I have had many students grow to love this class and the empowerment that comes from overcoming challenges and being successful.
